I’ve never met you, yet I know your light —
It lives in my humans’ hearts, soft and bright.
One in a smile, the other in stillness,
Together you shine with quiet brilliance.
Now you rest where sunsets sleep,
Above the hills, where dreams run deep.
Though unseen, your love is near —
A breeze, a glow, a gentle tear.
One GrandMami, warm as spring,
Rocks our dreams with her remembering.
The other, wise and calm and kind,
Guards the hope we sometimes hide.
When sadness comes, I curl up tight,
And feel your hug in golden light.
Love hasn’t ended — it’s just changed shape,
It blooms in flowers, stars, and grace.
Happy Mother's Day, sweet stars above —
Two grandmothers, two arms of love.
Though Heaven holds you now in peace,
You hold us still — and never cease.
